MISSION STATEMENT
To eliminate pet overpopulation by promoting neutering/spaying and by offering a financial incentive to people for adopting pets from participating no-kill rescues.
Tico is a 4 yr old neutered Chihuahua.
Every puppy born and their offspring will produce 65,000 other puppies in just 6 years. If a litter of 10 puppies are not spayed or neutered, they will produce 650,000 puppies in 6 years.
Lucy and Ellie
Lucy was abandoned by her former owners and most likely spent her previous 7 years producing puppies twice a year. 25% of all dogs killed in animal shelters are pure breeds. We had her spayed shortly after we rescued her.
Ellie was adopted from a local cat rescue and was spayed in March when she turned 6 months old. If she were not spayed and produced a litter of kittens who in turn were also not spayed, those kittens would produce approximately half a MILLION kittens over an 8 year period.
75% of all cats that enter animal shelters are killed.
Cats, cats and more cats.
And they are all neutered or spayed.
When you spay or neuter your cat, they are less likely to fight, they are more affectionate and you never have to worry about accidental breeding.
Some people think that they don't have to neuter their male cat, simply because they will never directly produce kittens. Male cats will mate with any female cat they meet. Did you know that a litter of kittens can have more than one father?
If your male cat is not neutered, you are directly responsible for the production of thousands of kittens every year. A very small percentage of these kittens will go to good home where they are spayed or neutered. So, you are responsible for the starvation and death of future cats and kittens for decades to come.
Do the right thing. Have your cat spayed or neutered.
